HUNTER Harry Potter fans are confident their fictional hero will survive when the seventh and final instalment of the successful series is released.

Most young fans who spoke to The Herald yesterday tipped Harry would pull through a confrontation with arch enemy Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Rumours of Harry's death have been rife, but author J.K. Rowling has been tight-lipped about his fate.

A computer hacker claimed recently to have hacked publisher Bloomsbury and stolen a digital copy of the manuscript, with "spoiler" details posted on Insecure.org.

An email attachment presented as the final book's manuscript has circulated among University of Newcastle students.

Thre are no indications the 659-page document, written in the style of J.K. Rowling, is authentic.

WHAT YOU SAY

CHRIS BYRON

16, Medowie

It would give it

a good ending if

Harry died. It's

about the rivalry

between him and

Voldemort; that's

how I think it will

be resolved.

TY FAIRWEATHER

12, Adamstown Heights

I don't reckon

Harry will die

because he's

too good for

Voldemort. I

think it might be

one of his friends

who dies.

MADISON MCKAY

13, Merewether

He won't die in

the book - the

series wouldn't

be as good if

he died.

GILLIAN FLYNN

9, Rankin Park

Harry will beat

Voldemort. He

won't die, he's

my favourite.

STEPHANIE HAWES

14, Merewether

Harry won't

die because he

always survives.

He's the hero.

JED WAKEFIELD

11, Warners Bay

Harry will win

because he

always wins.
