PRINCE OF PERSIA
Rated: PG RRP: $109.95The prince is very long in the tooth, in gaming terms, but this is his first foray onto the PS3. This is a completely new adventure, but fans can rest easy in the knowledge that the prince is as athletic as ever. His moves once again distinguish the game from other platformers, as he climbs, vaults and "wall runs" his way through attractive levels that resemble paintings. This time, the prince has a companion on his mission to save the world - Elika. She is not only beautiful but quite handy to have around, especially when you fall off a cliff. She'll pluck you to safety every time, which feels a little like cheating but does ease the frustration when attempting a difficult jump. Her magic moves can also be real lifesavers in the heat of battle, and she's always ready to point you in the right direction if you get lost. Once you get used to working as a team, you'll find the prince's trademark fluid combat works a treat in tandem.
